Hi.
KC868-COL has 16 DIs and 16 AIs. Can i set an AI to be operated as a simple DI? I want to have 32 DIs. Alternatively, can i have multiple units of KC868-COL?

yes, it's no problem, you can set such as AI>xV. because DI input just connect with a constant voltage value. The different is AI's input cable not too long. because the DI we have use extend distance circuit, almost 500 meter is also no problem for using dry contact device.
