DM16 output not turning off LED fully - autolifetech - 11-25-2025 Hi, I am using kincony DM16 as controller and Meanwell pwm 200 series for led driver to control my 24V LED strip I am using the ESPhome code that was provided by you in the forum. Issue now is I cannot turn the LED off fully when it is at 0%. When I short the wire to GND directly, the light can turn off, but when i use the channel, the light cannot off at 0%. How to solve this issue? At this moment i cannot afford to buy new LED driver. RE: DM16 output not turning off LED fully - admin - 11-25-2025 DM16 is a 0-10v output controller. so you should add 0-10v driver. it's not by PWM. here is link: https://shop.kincony.com/products/0-10v-dimmable-led-drivers?_pos=2&_psq=dr&_ss=e&_v=1.0 if you want buy driver by yourself, just make sure the driver input voltage is dc 0-10v. I do not see an issue with the driver because based on the meanwell spec sheet, it is able to take in additive 0-10V, pwm or resistance. Any other approach that i can do to solve? RE: DM16 output not turning off LED fully - admin - 11-25-2025 you can use a adjustable power supply connect to your MW driver, input 0-10v for testing. another way, you can download KCS v3 firmware by USB-C cable firstly. test DAC output by monitor webpage. RE: DM16 output not turning off LED fully - autolifetech - 11-25-2025 ok i will try kcs v3 firmware first (11-25-2025, 08:43 AM)admin Wrote: you can use a adjustable power supply connect to your MW driver, input 0-10v for testing. Still same issue RE: DM16 output not turning off LED fully - admin - 11-25-2025 use multi meter to test output port what voltage when turn off in home assistant. RE: DM16 output not turning off LED fully - autolifetech - 11-25-2025 ok i will try later RE: DM16 output not turning off LED fully - autolifetech - 11-26-2025 ok here is multimeter reading. When not connected to led driver, it is 0v but when connected, it is 0.7v. Any ideas why? RE: DM16 output not turning off LED fully - admin - 11-26-2025 i suggest you replace driver. maybe you can series connect a diode to your driver, that will reduce 0.7v. such as 1N4007 diode. RE: DM16 output not turning off LED fully - autolifetech - 11-26-2025 any issues if i connect 1k resistor parallel to the connection? I am currently testing that out and it seems to be able to turn it off, but not sure if it will be problematic in the long run |
