RE: KC868-HA RS485 INPUT & OUTPUT plugin for ESPHome - gizmo - 01-20-2024

I received my Kincony KC868-A2 board with RS485 yesterday, I have used the same code as I was using on the Dingtian-Tech board and I can confirm that the KC868-HAv2 is working with the Kincony KC868-A2 board.

I am sorry that I thought there was an issue with your board or software, the problem I had was definitely with the Dingtian-Tech only receiving RS485 and not sending.

Thank you very much for your help and in the future I will be sure to use Kincony products instead as they are very clearly much better! Smile

ok, thanks, KinCony does not design low-cost solution products, stability is more important.

Is there a way to configure the module using MacOS?

Yes, is there a way? I'm using a Windows virtual machine, but it's paid software:

ALSO, How do I debug the RS485 connection to my E16S using ESPHome?
MY HAV2 board works ok with PC software, but doesn't work in ESPHome

if you download KCS firmware, you can use HAv2 directly. just set RS485 protocol = RTU-HA
if you want config by ESPHome, you can see these video tour:
