Connecting Photoelectric (laser) meter - Killi77 - 12-20-2024

Hi, I'm looking for a solution connecting photo-electric (laser) distance meter to KC868-A8. Can I use ADC A1 or A2 port? I don't have the device yet so if you have any advice would be great otherwise I found the one in picture. Can I use this model with some resistor connected in serial to achieve 0-5V? Can you also provide ESP32 coding to configure those ports in Home Assistant please? Thank you.

the sensor output is BINARY SENSOR type, not analog output. you can connect to KC868-A8's digital input port.

Contacting the supplier and he confirmed it is a sensor only. It says measuring distance but it is not measuring anything. They description is misleading. Thank you for giving me a heads up.
Anyway, I need to measure the distance to a small moving point. Moving edge of garage door to be exact. Would you happen to know any solution? Device that can be used?
Thank you.
