KC868-HA-V21 serial port selector drop box freezing - PeterOo - 02-23-2025

Hi admin,
    when I click the serial port drop box, the app doesn't respond anything, it is freezing. I have already installed CH341 driver on my laptop for rs485 to usb config device. It showing the correct com port when I checked in device manager. But, I can't select the serial port in the app. I m using windows 11. Help me with that.

   

I m sure KC868-HA-V21 module is working normal. It is sending some data frame when I press k1 button in the serial monitor.

i think maybe windows problem. can you run our software by administrator mode. close all firewall. or you can use another computer for a testing.

Are there any way to config the RS485 button module without using this config application?
Can I program the module using some IDE ?
I have tried it using another computer like you said. It is not working.

only config by PC software.
Do your pc software also can't see the COM serial port number?

Yes, Can't see any COM serial port number. But, with another PC's serial port terminal software like "COOLTERM", I see the COM port of the usb - rs485 converter attached kc868-HA-V21 module. And, I press k1 button of module and it sends some data frame to terminal in "COOLTERM".
I've tried the kc868-ha config tool with three "windows 11 installed laptops". It doesn't work. I think I have to find windows 10 installed laptops,  Sad

Tested, it works seamlessly with windows 10. Now, I can select the com port drop box in the config software.
Why not working with windows 11? There are only desktops and laptops installed windows 11 at my office. Please, update the software to be compatible with windows 11.

i don't know why, i also use WIN11 OS, it can work, maybe your OS driver issue.
