Do you have a sample where I can combine two channels together (split phase in the USA) using esphome, or would I need to do the combining in Home Assistant?

Yes, I have an air conditioner that is 240v but has 120v on L1 and 120v on L2. I want to combine the 2 CT's into a single sensor for Home Assistant.

The repo also contains a python script I'm using to generate this, since it really benefits from a few basic loops.
There's a few revisions that I think would be good to port into the official one:- Each CT is now labeled by ct number (like it is on the case), so "CT 1", "CT 40", etc
- Each triplet (power, watts, kwh) ct values have been grouped by name
- The bank summary/overview values have been renamed as well
- Some general YAML cleanup/alignment has gone into the order of the fields for consistency
This produces a result in Home Assistant where each CT has it's 3 related values grouped together in the UI, things are named to match up with the labels on the box, and the system is just generally more pleasant to use.
I really like the internal modbus architecure of this setup, I think it's been really well designed and thought out. I'm looking forward to getting this deployed.

While I'd be you tackled this by now...
From what I've read, the proper way is to combine the load of both legs with a CT clamp on each. Measuring a single leg can, in some cases, get you the right amps, but you won't be collecting the full story of the power usage for appliances that might not even load the two legs. (For example, a dryer that runs electronics off one leg, but the heater off both legs.)
You can either do this in the YAML with some extra sensors that perform the combinations for you, or you can combine them with template sensors in HA. A yaml might look something like:

(NOTE: See how it's ct1 + ct11, that's because on the device you'll need to connect your L1 leg to the L1 input, then your L2 leg to the L2 input. Then, whatever leg is on the breaker tied to your L1, needs to be on CT1, where the breakers outbound on L2 needs to be with CT11. This way each leg is using the right voltage multiplier. Hope that sorta makes sense.)
