KC868-HA-V21 24v supply - Gerrit - 05-30-2026

Hello,
I am planning to use about 15 KC868-HA-V21 modules behind 6-gang momentary switches throughout my whole house and connect them to the KC868-AP dimmer board. The LED strips I am using are 24V.
Can I also use this 24V supply to power the KC868-HA-V21 modules? The documentation states that it is supported, but I want to make sure it is a safe and reliable choice. Or, would it be better to use a separate 12V power supply for the modules?
Thank you for your advice!

you should add extend power supply is better. if you want use HAv2 for KC868-AP, you need config ESPHome by yourself.

Sorry to ask, but do you mean, its better to use a separate 12v power supply for the HAv2 boards? And indeed I am planning to write the code for the buttonsĀ  and add it to AP esphome code. This is because, the only board I will have with rs485 interface is the KC868-AP. I hope that the esp32 can handle all the code. If not, is there another way to get the button information into homeassistant ? When I have sorted it all out, i will buy all the needed equipment at your site.
