V2.2.2 will not flash anymore
#11
Yes. I always power off/on after I flash.

This is getting frustrating.

I have gone back and tried every version from 1.0.24 to 2.2.4. If they are a fresh copy from your site, they flash but cannot be detected.
If I flash from a previous copy that I saved via the esptool where I was able to detect and set the IP address for my network, they work.
The only thing that has changed in the interim is that I flashed it with an ESPHOME configuration from esphome version 2024.6.4
It is after that that your version of the firmware flashes but are unable to be detected.

sorry I don't have Whatsapp.

Media 1 is flashing with Flash download tool 3.9.2
Media 2 is powering off/on board.
Media 3 is using scan tool to detect board. Board is not detected.

This is all the time I am going to spend with this problem.
My worry is that the same thing will happen to my AM and A64 boards, so I am afraid to touch them.

Will leave them with ESPHOME for now, since there seems to be a problem with the KCS firmware.

yeah, apparently when a static IP address is set, you store it somewhere in flash memory that doesn't get erased when the chip is re-flashed.
After detecting that I had duplicate IP addresses and changing other devices away from where the A16 was originally addressed, I was able to reflash and access it at the original address.
Scan tool could not detect it, but I was able to get back in to a fresh v2.2.2 and reconfigure it.

I let you guys figure out the why.
