I bought a KinCony kc868-a8 for a custom project.

With this I want to control (amongst other things) through SG-Ready a heat pump (ALSAVO Air Source Heat Pump Monoblock - 7kW).
The documentation of the heat pump (https://rjwebshop.dk/upload_dir/shop/Zea...Manual.pdf) explains at page 63 that CN10 and CN30 are designed for SG-Ready. These connections I (think) are needed to be connected separately to the relays on the kc868-a8.

Is that right? Do you have any example on how to do that? I think that simple cable without potential will work.

I searched your videos but couldn’t find any information regarding.

Best regards

Hi,

I have KC868-H16B relay.
What seems to happen is that Mqtt client stops listening to subscriptions after a while.
I have ports 1-6 for lights, and port 16 for heating.
Randomly, port 16 stops responding to mqtt state changes.
Looking at the explorer, the set value is changed to 1 but state is not changed accordingly. This only affects port 16. ports 1-6 are still working.
If I power cycle the relay, it's back to normal again.
Version I'm running is H16B_V4.35.
Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hi,

I wonder if there is any board that fits my needs...

I'm driving lights & blinds using 24VDC relays and all over the house I have buttons(lights) or up/down buttons(blinds). All this buttons have 24VDC and are connected to main junction box that has all this relays which drive 240VAC lights/blinds.

I want board that has single pin(so I need to connect just 1 wire, per light) that reads that wire 24V via optocoupler at same time board has on same pin MOSFET that can drive that relay.

So idea is, that I can detect when user is pressing some button and they drive lights, but at same time I can drive lights and in both cases I want to read this signals.

Does such board exist?
I already have KC868-A16 but as far as understand I need additional optocoupler, since I'm not allowed to connect 24VDC on input, so I need external optocoupler to simulate dry contact on KC868-A16 and makes everything ugly with additional optocoupler and 2 wires per relay.

Thanks,

Hello,
Is there an MQTT command to update the D16 dimmer's stored brightness memory value WITHOUT actually turning on the dimmer?

Current behavior:

Send

Code:

{"dimmer1": {"value": 50}}

→ Light turns on at 50%

Physical button press → Light restores to 50%

What I need:

While dimmer is OFF, update the stored memory to a different value (e.g., 30%)

So next physical button press turns on at 30%, not 50%

Hi,
I have successfully set up the Kyncony KC-868 A4, and using Node-RED with HTTP requests I can now switch the relay. From here, it’s only a matter of programming the desired algorithm.
But since the A4 has a limited number of analog inputs, we also got the KC-868 COLB.

I have successfully upgraded the firmware of the COLB to the latest version using the guides from the forum.

When I use VirCom or IP Scanner software to search for the COLB device in the network, it doesn’t find any COLB. That’s why the SCB software doesn’t work either.

I connected the COLB via Ethernet cable to a switch that assigns IP addresses through DHCP. The laptop I am using is also connected to the same network.

Could you please tell me where I am making a mistake? Do you have a precise guide or step-by-step instructions on how to connect the COLB?

Additional questions:
– Is it possible to connect the COLB via WiFi as well? I am confused by your guides, it’s not clear to me. If yes please send me some guide how.
– How many DS18B20 digital sensors can be connected to a single channel? Only one?

Thank you very much for your assistence,

I have a kc868-h32b I can log in to the webpanel just fine with ethernet and I can see it has firmware H32B_Pro_V1.19

I can connect the USB-C to my windows 10 machine. And it shows up as COM4.
I can click "OPEN PORT" as soon as the device restarts
But when I click on the bootloader detect button nothing happens

I've tried restarting the device more than 50 times. With varying timings and Baudrates. But no change. I never get the results shown in the youtube video

How do I debug this, what am I doing wrong?
Is the USB C version different than what is shown in the video?

Hi,

I have a system with 128 keys
2 h32bs controllers which gives me 64 inputs for dry contact keys in total

1. i got 2 pieces of Serial Terminal Switches board v2 that gives me more 64 in total

I want to set each input to action like what i want and not directly to trigger a relay, i do this in home assistant so i set SW_TRIGGER off on the H32bs config page

But, the problem is , if i connect the terminal board to the h32bs, it doesn't extends the inputs to 64 channels , it keeps receive the switches as 1 to 32

The solution to make the switch terminal board to extend the h32bs inputs channels to 64 is to make a feature in the h32bs firmware.

The feature will "mask" the messages that comes from the serial terminal board v2 so they will be output as RELAY-KEY-255,33,1 or RELAY-KEY-255,34,0 RELAY-KEY-255,34,1 and so on.

Then we can use separated 64 dry contact inputs for switches on each h32bs.

2. Then, if we use SW trigger output OFF and home assistant we dont need the DoubleClick function of the h32bs firmware, so also keypress delay time that is used for keypress scanning can be disabled, then we get faster tcp / mqtt state messages from the h32bs after a keypress.

Please make these features
1. Masking / reformatting terminal board v2 messages coming from h32bs serial port
2. A button to disable/enable doubleclick feature to disable the caused delay because of the keypress scanning
