KC868-D16 dimmer controller with LED driver

I have a few questions regarding the dimmer.

If for example, I turn on channel 1 with the wall switch to 20%.
and then I press the wall switch again.
The brightness will go up until I release the switch. (let's say at 60%)
Now if I press the wall switch again, will the brightness go up to 100% and loop, or will the brightness go down instead? (preferred way)

Is it possible with home assistant to use any button with any channel?
for example switch 1 triggers dimmer 16
