Troubles UART
#1
Hallo!
I bought a new KC868-A6 (V1.4SP) board.
I will planned work with relays and sensors (temperature and gas concentration). Programming in IDE 2.3.6 (nodeMCU-32S).
Questions.
1. Do I need to update (install firmware)?

2. How can I check the correctness of switching on/off of the relays (6 pcs) and LEDs?

3. Does the KC868-A6 V1.4SP board support UART with a supply voltage of +5 V? The Winsen Electronics ZM106, ZE16B, | MH-Z19B gas sensors that I selected require a supply of +5 V and data exchange only via UART. How can I implement this on the KC868-A6?

4. I2C does not work and cannot be diagnosed. Could this be the problem?

Thanks.

i suggest you download KCS v2 firmware to test your board firstly, here is KCS v2 online guide: https://www.kincony.com/esp32-kcsv2-firmware.html
the extender serial port on the PCB use by 3.3v level, not 5V level, if you want to use 5v, you need to convert.
if you want write your own arduino code, all demo source code in our forum.

Thanks for the answer.
1. I would like to clarify. Is it necessary to download the firmware? A new purchased board - WHAT, WITHOUT FIRMWARE - BARE?
2. ARE YOU SURE THAT THERE ARE CODES FOR CHECKING THE OPERATION OF 6 RELAYS? I did not find such an example on the forum!
3.I carefully read the User Manual for the KC868-A series boards "KCS" User Manual v2.0".
And did everything step by step, unfortunately the IP address of the LS-868 board is not determined. (see screenshot) Also, I2C and relays DO NOT WORK . I spent two weeks to figure out how I2C and relays work.
Maybe my the KC868-A6 board is defective or faulty?

1. yes, you need download firmware by USB-C cable, new board no firmware inside.
2. here relay demo source: https://www.kincony.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1866
3. i think scan device tool, you have not selected the correct network adapter, i have seen your network adapter IP address, maybe you should select another one, see the STEP-1 and STEP-2. after you downloaded firmware, MUST re power on of your board, then will begin running.

first, download KCS v2 firmware to test, whether work well, make sure hardaware is well. then test by your code.
take a photo of your pcb .

Sorry!
1. I was downdoad KCS_KC868_A6_V2.2.14.bin yesterday yet. see ScreenShot above.  But IP not found see abobe !
2. Is there an example of the correct UART& coding and a diagram of the correct placement of the "A" and "B" pins on the board, what is this?
Which pin corresponds to GND for UART?
3. The photo of the board is below.
Thank you,

1. do you understand me? change network adapter option.

after you connect pc with kc868-a6 board by wifi hotspot, set STA mode, then check ip by scan device tool. please see online guide firstly: https://www.kincony.com/esp32-kcsv2-firmware.html

2. A and B use by RS485, not serial port.
RS485 RXD: 14
RS485 TXD: 27

extend serial port use by GPIO12,GPIO13 on pcb.
