Technical Consultation - Kincony Controller Selection
#1
Hi,

I am seeking technical advice and consultation on determining which specific Kincony controllers and how many units would be required for my smart home project.

Controllers should be based on ESP32 platform and preferably support the newer Kincony KCS v3 firmware version.
I am looking for a complete system solution to meet my requirements.

PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS:

INPUTS:
- 67× lighting control inputs (momentary/impulse switches)
- 12× shutter control inputs (up + down commands)
- 14× window/door contact sensors
- 10× digital sensor inputs (human presence sensor, valves, etc.)
- 14× temperature sensor inputs (analog, including 4× temperature+humidity sensors, max distance is ~20m; planned DS18B20/DHT22 but the wiring is star-shaped, so can it be done with 1-wire?)

OUTPUTS:
- 34× lighting outputs (AC 230V)
- 10× LED lighting outputs (DC 24V white + dimmers)
- 12× shutter motor outputs
- 12× floor heating electrovalve control outputs

Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.

you can use F24 or A32 Pro smart relay controller.
KinCony TS RS485 temperature humidity sensors.
wall switch panel.
KC868-AP dimmer controller. if you not hurry, we will release new ESP32S3 dimmer controller soon, use by KCS v3.

Thank You for Your answer!

Does A32 Pro support KCS v3?
I prefer to have external relays (like E16), so maybe A16v3 + E16 is better than A32 Pro?

My main problem is to decide which and how many controllers I need.
There are multiple options to do te same ....

A32 Pro support KCS v3.
A16v3+E16v2 also is better.
F series is best.
i think you can use this tool to select product: https://mq.kincony.com/qq/product/product-selector

This is my only issue with your products - too many options!

For 16x output with ESP32:
- 1x MOSFET (A16)
- 3x Relay (A16S, E16P and E16S)

For 16x output with ESP32-S3:
- 3x MOSFET (A16v3, T16M and B16M)
- 2x Relay (B16 and F16)

And that's only when we're talking about 16x outputs.
You also have:
24x output:
- 2x Relay (A24, F24)
32x output:
- 2x MOSFET (AIO and T32M)
- 2x Relay (A32 and A32 Pro)
64x output:
- 2x MOSFET (A64, T64M)
128x output:
- 2x MOSFET (A128, T128M)
...

So there are >19 devices that can do the same thing (control AC230V lighting, some with external relays).
I put together a summary, and the price/channel ranges from 5$ to >25$:

If I assume min. 16A relay and an ESP32-S3, then the cheapest option is A16v3 + external relays, with only a small difference to T-series and B16M.
Sorry for this looong post - hopefully it helps someone in the future.

My final questions are:
1. Are there any significant differences between the A16v3 and the T16M/B16M in terms of long-term support, behavior? (Not talking about product size or materials).
2. Do You have any plans to release an ESP32-S3 version of the A32?

1: A16v3, T16M, B16M all use by ESP32-S3, it will have long-term support.
2: A32 Pro is ESP32-S3 version, here is details: https://www.kincony.com/4g-esp32-relay-board.html
