Recommended Dimmer for LED Bulbs Using 0–10V Analog Outputs
#1
Hi,

I have a few KinCony devices with 0–10V analog outputs (KinCony D16 Dimmer, etc.), and I was disappointed to discover that they don't work well with most LED light bulbs when used with an SSR relay, as recommended. The main problems were that the LED bulbs wouldn't turn off completely, even when the brightness was set to 0%, and there was noticeable flickering. Surprisingly, I found that even other devices on the market, such as the Shelly Pro 2PM Dimmer, suffer from various flickering issues (I tried two different units with the same results).

I had almost given up on finding a reliable solution for dimming LED light bulbs until I came across this product:  Skydance S1-L RF+ 0/1-10V Push AC Triac Dimmer. It's an AC TRIAC dimmer that can be controlled via a 0–10V analog signal, making it suitable for use with KinCony devices that provide 0–10V analog outputs (dimmers, ...).

I've just tested it with two E27 LED bulbs and three GU5.3 bulbs, connected to a KinCony KC868-AIO, and the results were impressive. This is by far the smoothest LED bulb dimming I've ever experienced. I hope sharing a product link doesn't violate any forum rules, but I thought this might be useful to others struggling with LED bulb dimming on KinCony devices.
