Connect KC868-HA and mechanical switch
#1
Hi, I tried to follow the last diagram on the following page to connect KC868-HA with my H32B Pro board and also with a mechnical digital switch.

https://www.kincony.com/rs485-modbus-but...apter.html

And I'm attaching a photo of my connections.  Can you please tell me if it's correct or not.

Yes, I'm aware that I need to do that. I'm awaiting my RS485 USB connector which will come soon, but I stilll wanted to check if the wiring is okay or not.

Alright, I now have the RS485-USB adaptor and my computer does detect the board in Device Managers in Ports as you can see in the photo, but I can't see the board in your software for programming.  What am I doing wrong?

And about the connection, I'm failing to understand the black ground cable between the KC868-HA board and the switch.  Do I need to loop the black cable in each of the connection or......?  A photo of this connection will be very helpful.  I saw the below video a few times, but it does not show the behind connection of the switch.  I'd really appreciate some help here.

Okay, I resolved the issue by connecting it to another PC.

but can you please answer my question on the wiring please....

On the link you sent, there are 2 kinds of wiring diagram, the first one does not connect the board to any sort of external power supply, but only to the momentary switch and H32B Pro board.  Second diagram, connects it with 12v DC power supply as well as has the ground cable looped into all the connections in the switch.

Please tell me which diagram to follow and if you can post some photos of the connections, it would be the best.  Thanks.

KC868-HA need dc12v power supply, you can paralleling connect to H32B Pro's power supply, they all use DC12v.
