Building a smart home system using kincony
#1
Hi guys.
I started looking closely at kincony products, and would like to use it in my new apartment to build a smart home system.
I'm not an electrician and it's difficult to find a competent electrician who can draw up the diagram correctly. Therefore, I ask you to help with a description of what is needed and possibly with a diagram.
The apartment is planned to have more than 40+ 16A outlets, for example, to connect a microwave oven, a vacuum cleaner, a phone for charging, and so on.
I haven’t decided on the light yet, but I think there will be both a track system in the passage rooms, for example the hallway, and ordinary chandeliers in the rooms, for example in the kitchen or living room.

From what was written above, I think the main KC868-H32B PRO board with 32 output ports may no longer be enough. And we come to the question.
Question 1) Is it possible to somehow increase the number of ports from 32 to 50
Example::: I’ll give an analogy, we have a Cisco router; routers usually have few ports, switches with 48 ports are connected to them, if 48 ports of one switch are not enough, just another switch is connected and so on, I hope the analogy is clear. Is it also possible to increase the number of lines from 32 to 50, but without buying another KC868-H32B PRO??? If you can’t do without buying another KC868-H32B PRO main board, won’t they behave incorrectly with voice assistants? After all, both there and there, for example, channel 16, if I say, turn off the light on channel 16, will it accidentally turn off the server for me that is connected to channel 16, but on the first board?

Question 1.2) For example, I have a server that runs 24/7, will kincony (KC868-H32B PRO and KC868-E16 DIN RAIL) withstand such a load?

Question 1.3) If the KC868-H32B PRO or KC868-E16 DIN RAIL through which we will connect sockets in the apartment breaks down, if the main board or KC868-E16 DIN RAIL breaks down, will the sockets work in this case? Yes, I understand that I won’t be able to control them through HomeAssistant la primera, but will the same vacuum cleaner work if it’s connected to an outlet??

--- I also can’t understand the next point, we have some equipment that requires more than 16A, for example an induction hob in the kitchen, should I connect it past kincony?? As I understand from the input circuit breaker (for example, 64A), I connect another circuit breaker for the induction panel or are there better options??

--- Do I understand correctly, so that I can get the temperature in the apartment from sensors as an example, I also need a KC868-COLB board??? But she does not know how to work with the same Zigbee devices, how to connect, say, 10 different Zigbee sensors (thermostats for underfloor heating, heating, and so on)

I ask you to help with answers to three questions and two points that I described above after ---

Perhaps you have a visual diagram, even if there is not one element there, but the main thing is that it is clear how to connect it all.

firstly , can you tell me which software solution you want to use?
1. Tuya app remote control by internet.
2. use home assistant software in local network without internet.
3. both Tuya app + home assistant work at the same time.

I'm planning to install a home assistant server.

I plan to use Tuya or other products only via the Internet to control some components and will still try to integrate them into the home assistant, and the voice assistant will only be able to work if there is an Internet connection.
Therefore this point
3. both Tuya app + home assistant work at the same time.

Question 1) Is it possible to somehow increase the number of ports from 32 to 50:

---> if you want more output ports, you need add another KC868-H32B Pro controller, just connect to router by network, this is only way. you can use multi H32B Pro controller by same one app. use every channel of relay by voice controler (alexa / google home speaker)

Question 1.2) For example, I have a server that runs 24/7, will kincony (KC868-H32B PRO and KC868-E16 DIN RAIL) withstand such a load?

---> sure, all our controller design for running 24/7. if you chose KC868-E16 extend relay module, suggest use KC868-E16v2 version.

---> if home assistant or KC868-H32B Pro break down. KC868-E16v2 board have manual control switch on board, you can use it control relay's coin directly without any software. finally, if you think the manual control switch button also is bad. i think you can connect your power socket to KC868-E16v2's relay output COM, NC. so that it will always ON for the power supply. KC868-E16v2's relay output have COM, NO, NC ports, you can chose how to use.

--- I also can’t understand the next point, we have some equipment that requires more than 16A, for example an induction hob in the kitchen, should I connect it past kincony?? As I understand from the input circuit breaker (for example, 64A), I connect another circuit breaker for the induction panel or are there better options??

---> if large current load, some KC868-H32B Pro's output channel can connect with contactor, contactor usually for large current, such as AC220v 25A, 32A, 64A, 100A, 200A, just according to your load's current.

---> Yes, if you want to get the temperature, you can add KC868-COLB INPUT module, or other KC868-A series board (they have GPIOs port for sensor), just KC868-COLB have more ports than KC868-A series board. if you want to use Zigbee, if you install home assistant to KC868-Server, or your own raspberry pi computer, just plugin one USB zigbee dongle, then you can use Zigbee3.0 products in home assistant by different brand.

Thanks a lot.
Can you tell me which of the diagrams described above are right for me, I looked at them, but when you start learning something new for yourself that you are not good at, namely electrical engineering, your head is spinning.

Here are some reference schematic diagrams, the key is to understand the principles, and then it's not difficult.

Please tell me the moment I’m racking my brains over now. Why still buy a KC868-E16 V2 DIN RAIL relay if we see, for example, in this diagram https://www.kincony.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2767 sockets can be connected simply to the machine, there is no relay on the diagram .

Just the final price for the main boards: 2 pieces KC868-H32B Pro, 2 pieces KC868-E16 V2, not counting additional modules like KC868-COLB, and so on.

Please tell me what equipment is absolutely necessary and what equipment can be done without, for example KC868-E16 V2 DIN RAIL

KC868-E16v2 support LOAD MAX AC220V 16A
contactor support LOAD MAX AC220V 25A (diagram :https://www.kincony.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2767) contactor more safety than KC868-E16v2 if using large current load. or use by power socket "contactor" is better.
price you can see our online store: kincony.aliexpress.com

Will this scheme work or is it necessary to buy a kincony kc868 ak???
Can I turn off the lights with a dull switch?

Sorry for the picture quality, no models.

this scheme can work, but light true state will not feedback to software. The best way is add KC868-AK or KC868-HA, you can control one light by many different buttons.
