you can use "ESP download tool" download KCS firmware for a testing.
if it's ok, so that hardware is well. check your tasmota.

good evening everyone, I'm having difficulties recording the firmware, it's having the same error as the friend, I've already changed the cables even the pc I changed it, but it doesn't record, it only records with the tasmota.bin I tested it with the KCS and everything is fine.

Hey manos,
there is something funky with that firmware/esp flasher tool I was getting the same error.
the only way I could flash was with the tasmota web flash tool via google chrome browser https://tasmota.github.io/install/
Flash with http://ota.tasmota.com/tasmota32/release/tasmota32.bin first, then connect to the device with your phone by changing your wifi settings phone to TASMOTA... network that will pop up after a few seconds. It disappears again in about60 secs so be quick. connect to the wifi (ie SSId Tasmota...) then after a little while you phone will open an unsecured webpage (your now inside the tasmota device) , just select your usual wifi SSiDand password that you want to use with the device and save.
Use Tasmotrol app on your phone to search for the device/change configuration as well.
After the initial flash, it seems to work on the Tasmota Eps Flasher tool.
Once your connected to the device and can get into the configuration, "Update Hrdware"to Kc868-A8 Bin, then configure template and configure the "other" (PCF8574)
I had a hard time getting it to connect and show the PCF8574 expander for the outputs , then all of a sudden it worked after 3 days... Good luck!

I should also add, download the firmware to your computer then use that download rather than posting the link to the repository.

Hello
I have the same error to flash the KC868-A8 board with the KC868-A8 Tasmota.bin fw.
With the original fw :KCS_KC868_A8_V2.2.2.bin it work, but without Tasmota
with
KC868-A8-Tasmota-firmware.bin the flash doesn't work.
With the esp-flasher 2.2.3 I get the same error as obove.
With the flas tool:flash_download_tool_3.9.2.exe the flash finnised with no errors, but no function from the board.

I flash with KCS_KC868_A8_V2.2.2.bin , the board works.
But I need Tasmota to switch the relais with MQTT in my FHEM installation.

I think a lot of users have this issue and we need urgent help!!!
