1. when you need to use A8, you need to download firmware firstly, such as KCS firmware or tasmota firmware is ok.

2. these firmware can work with A8:

you can also download the newest tasmota firmware, BUT you need to compile it enable PCF8574 chip. (if you can't compile, i can compile a newest tasmota firware to enable PCF8574, you can try, just need the newest tasmota download tool version)


we have tested with the tasmota download link, it's work ok. maybe you can try to "ERASER" your ESP32 chip by ESP Download Tool firsty.

You can close this off. I found a workable solution.
I configured the KC868-A8 with the Tasmota safe mode firmware which created the safe mode partition and then loaded the recommended software in the video.
You might want to familiarize yourself with this in case other customers run into the same problem I did.
