  433MHz sender and recievers
Posted by: Fleetz - 12-11-2024, 09:30 PM - Forum: KC868-A4 - Replies (1)

I already have these 433MHz sender and reciever modules are these suitable for the KC-868-A4?

Or are the sender and recievers that Kincony sell designed specifically to work only on the KC-868-A4 board?

  B16M Digital Input
Posted by: Dutchkiwi - 12-11-2024, 09:16 PM - Forum: Schematic & diagram & Dimensions of KinCony PCB layout CAD file - Replies (1)

I'm using a B16M to control a home automation project. It's using a 24V power supply and the B16M is switching a set of 24V relays that switch the 230V mains.
I can switch the relays via Home Assistant and via the ESPHome dashboard but I can't switch the relays using the digital inputs. If I ground a digital input pin I can see the state change on the Home Assistant and ESPHome dashboads but the relay dose not operate.
I am using the B16M ESPHome yaml for home assistant code from the forum which I haven't changed.
Regards

ModBus RequesMapping Sensors (T1, T2) to ADC Channels on KC868-A6
Posted by: ka.mobo - 12-11-2024, 07:03 AM - Forum: Development - Replies (3)

Hello Admin

I am currently working with ModBus RS-485 the KC868 series board (specifically the KC868-A6) and would like to understand how analog sensors, such as T1, T2, or other analog inputs, are mapped to the ADC channels in the hardware configuration. (I am using the Firmware KCS_KC868_A6_V2.2.5)
Could you please provide:

  1. Hardware documentation that specifies the connection of sensors (T1, T2, etc.) to the ADC channel register addresses.
  2. Any relevant details or examples for configuring and reading sensor data using Modbus function code 03.

This information would greatly assist in correctly interpreting sensor data from the board.

Which parts to order for Loxone Project?
Posted by: killeriq - 12-10-2024, 11:29 PM - Forum: KinCony integrate with Loxone home automation - Replies (13)

Hi,

just recently found about your Boards and luckily there is also some Loxone integration options available right from the producer. Great!

I would like to double check which parts / boards should I order to integrate with Loxone.
Loxone (master) <-> Kincony boads (Slave)

Eventually MQTT,UDP or Tasmota system would be also fine to integrate with Loxone (as i have already few devices working)

Here is the list what I would like to have:

KC868-E16S

  1. Preferably via LAN Cable (due to stability and latency)
  2. 12-16x Relays to operate 230v devices. Relays should be easily replaceable as on KC-868-E16 boards
  3. few DI for Digital Buttons, Impulse meter / Power consumption
KC868-E16S (not sure if 1-wire is there, but I see some I2C Extender on board
  4. 1-wire for Temperature / Humidity sensor
  5. I2C support for SHT31 sensors or SCD30 (temp/hum/co2)
Probably some additional board to get AO ports
  6. 2-3x AO 0-10v controller for FANs

Some of those features should be possible via
KC868-E16S
or KC868-E16T (not sure what is the difference, + Tuya support feature?)
In case there is newer / more suitable board, please let me know

Thanks!

  Floating inputs are changing state
Posted by: oyvind@kinsey.no - 12-10-2024, 03:57 PM - Forum: KC868-A16 - Replies (11)

I have a v1.6 board that is currently not connected to anything; it is powered with a quality mean well 12v power supply.

The integration into home assistant is made using your example yaml for Esp home (included).

The problem is some of the inputs will randomly toggle on and off.. From my reading, the PCF8574P has an internal weak pull-up, so it should not read a signal unless there's sufficient input on the optocoupler, which would require pulling the input down to ground.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

  A8 keeps dying
Posted by: heffneil - 12-10-2024, 12:29 PM - Forum: KC868-A series and Uair Smart Controller - Replies (1)

I am using a A8 with my drapes.  I have NO inputs and just using the built in relays to trigger dry contacts.  I am running ESPHome.  The A8 I have doesn't have enough relays so I have two units side by side.  The are connected to a POE switch and each one is being powered via a POE to 12v splitter.  One of the units keeps dying.  It will not be pingable.  I have disabled the web server in esphome and I have disabled Bluetooth.  I reflashed several times.  After about 12 hours it will just stop responding.  I replaced it with another unit yesterday and today it continues to work with the same firmware. I believe this device is bad - but no idea how to debug and not interested I have too many other things going on.  This unit is believed to be bad.

  GPIO Connector
Posted by: williemcvillage - 12-10-2024, 08:52 AM - Forum: KC868-AI - Replies (1)

Hi, I recently also bought the board KC868-AI, and I want to use the free GPIOs onboard.

Can you recommend a connector to soldier on the board? Maybe an aliexpress link?

I tried xh 2.54, but they are too big.

Thanks
